What is SaaS?
Software as a Service (SaaS) means using software over the internet, hosted and maintained by the provider, rather than installing and running it yourself. But it's not the only option — and sometimes not the right one.
With SaaS, you don't buy a licence and install software on your own servers. You subscribe, and the provider runs it for you — handling hosting, updates, security patching and availability. You get faster setup, predictable costs, and nothing to manage.
The trade-off is control. For some businesses — particularly in regulated sectors with strict data residency or infrastructure requirements — running software inside their own environment matters more than the convenience of SaaS.
That's why the deployment model shouldn't be a religion. The right answer depends on your constraints, not the vendor's preference.
Two ways to deploy
Subscription (SaaS)
Hosted by Smartek. Fast to start, predictable monthly cost, nothing to manage — updates and infrastructure handled for you.
In-house deployment
Run entirely within your own infrastructure — built for teams with specific data residency or control requirements.
Your infrastructure, your choice
Tell us your constraints
Data residency, security posture, integration needs — we start from what your business actually requires.
Pick the model that fits
SaaS for speed and simplicity, or in-house where control matters most. Same platform either way.
Deploy and integrate
Our API-first design means it connects cleanly with the systems you already run.
With in-house deployment, you're never dependent on us staying in business to keep operating — the platform runs in your environment, on your terms.

Most demos show you a concept. Ours shows you something already running.
